Goodbye SweetS

::weeps:: Tis a sad day. It's official. SweetS is disbanding... I figured this might happen, but it still sucks. Aya and Aki is leaving SweetS to go to high school, and I guess the girls didn't feel right continuing SweetS without them.... Even though On The Way was without them, and I really like that song. I think they could have made 3-nin SweetS work... Ah well.

I wonder what will happen to my favorite SweetS girl, Haruna? Haruna is awesome. Aya is great too, but for some reason, I like Haruna more. I can't explain why, really. hehe. I hope she's able to join a new group or go solo. I'm sure Aya will go solo after school. She's considered the best voice in SweetS (Haruna is considered second best). Yeah, they'll both be fine. But I hope it's not years until we hear from them again. =(

So, CDJapan had this 50% off sale on a bunch of stuff, so I ordered some cool goodies, including SweetS newest (and now, second to last) single, Bitter Sweet. I ordered the Limited Edition (of course). Anyway, like an hour after I heard that SweetS was disbanding, my CDJapan stuff came. I opened the box and there was this rolled up poster-looking thing on the top. So, I opened it and there they were. SweetS. I totally didn't realize that the LTD came with a poster. SweetS... Dear SweetS... Pretty SweetS poster.... Oh, I also got a Maki Goto concert and PV/Clips DVD. Awesome. But now I feel bad for not ordering the SweetS concert. I'll have to order it with their last single, which comes out in June. Their last single... So sad.

Hey there. Long time no post. Which, really, is typical for me. I never post anywhere as often as I should.

So, what's new in Delialand? Well, ummm.... Hmm.. Let me think.... Well, I'm working on a new website. Yup. It's called DiabetesTeenTalk. I'm doing it for a friend of mine. It's kinda nice to work on a new site, even if it's not my site.

What else? Oh, LOST is into it's third week of the second season. God I love that show. So great. If you haven't seen it, you need to watch it. The first season is out on DVD. GET IT! Go! Now!

Ok. Are you back? Did you get LOST? You better have.
What else is new? I just ordered my first Christmas present of the year. In case you didn't know this, my parents always have me order my own Christmas gifts. They can't really use the computer. ::giggles:: Old people are stupid. ^_^ Anyway, my present is a region-free DVD player! Woohoo! Now I can actually watch all my Japanese DVDs! Well, not *now*, but after Christmas I'll be able to.

Speaking of Japanese DVDs, I preordered SweetS first album WEEKS ago, and silly YesAsia.com *still* hasn't shipped it. It came out 4 days ago. I should have my SweetS album by now! Grrrr. I love SweetS. But not as much as Morning Musume. ::cries:: Oh, Morning Musume. Dear, dear Morning Musume. Tis troubled times for you, I know it. Their newest single has been pushed back 3 times already. It now doesn't come out until November. So sad. And they changed the new single from Koi wa Hassou Do The Hustle! to Chokkan 2 ~nogashita sakana wa ooki zo~.
This is very unsettling. Morning Musume performed Hustle at a concert and a fan published the rip of it online, and people apparently really didn't like it, so Hello! Project changed the single. Hustle was switched from an a-side to a b-side. It wasn't that bad..... Chokkan 2 is actually a part 2 of a song that was on MoMusu's 6th album. It's an OK song, but I don't know how well a part 2 will do as a single.... ::sigh:: We'll see. I hope Tsunku doesn't end Morning Musume. I'd be so sad. I mean, there still would be W, Maki Goto, Biyuden and the rest of Hello! Project, but it wouldn't be the same. They aren't Morning Musume.... =(

Google Goodies

Well, my beloved Google has come out with two more apps for your enjoyment. Google Desktop is a little search/rss/email notifier/bunch of other stuff program that you can have on your desktop as a sidebar (my preference is sidebar on auto-hide), or icon on the TaskBar. Seriously, though. This program does so much, it's hard to explain. And they are adding plug-ins all the time. You can check it out yourself here:

Right now, I have mine set up with Email (which is basically a little Gmail inbox, so you can check your email without going onto Gmail. Unfortunately, you can't write emails), Web Clips (RSS/Atom feeds. Can check my clubs, torrent sites, etc. without visiting them. You can click individual posts and visit the actual message, though. Same with Email.), Scratch Pad (Does this really need an explaination?), and Photos (a slideshow of photos in your My Pictures folder or whatever folders you want). There are other settings that I don't use, like News, Stocks, Weather, and Quick View (Which is favorite websites or files). I'm thinking of getting rid of Email and switching it to Quick View. We shall see. I haven't even started looking at all the plug-ins they have. They have a ton.

As for Google Talk, well, its the predictable Google IM. Yes, we all knew they'd make one eventually. I have downloaded it, unfortunately, I know no one with Google Talk. Ah well.

Apparently, I have never said this before to her. I tell her all the time that I'm hungry, but never that I'm stuff. She wanted me to write about it to commemorated this. I'm not sure why.

Oh, eBay. Why you treat me so good? Yes, I've been on a buying spree lately. I've spent $279.92 there in the past 3 months. Which, I guess isn't that bad.. Depending on how you look at it.. hehe.
Most of the stuff I've bought is Morning Musume related. I <3 Morning Musume. I <3 Morning Musume WAYYYYYY too much. $279.92 too much. And I'm still watching like 5 more things. But I don't buy everything I want. I do put down limits. Like, for instance, I only buy Limited Editions of CDs and DVDs. That eliminates a LOT of stuff. Also, I wanted something yesterday, but in the last 2 mins it jumped way up in price and I decided I didn't want it that bad. I can just get it later. ^_^ I'm so bad.
Anyway, I'm well on my way of fulfiling my "-own every Morning Musume single" item on my Things I want to do before I die list. Woohoo. ^_^

Woohoo for upgrades. We went to Costco yesterday and I was able to buy a brand new TV! And it was actually BIGGER than my last TV! w00t!

::weeps:: My TV.....is dead. ::weeps some more:: I have, or had, a beautiful 27 inch TV that I got from Costco not a year ago, and now it's dead. It just....turned itself off. And that was is. Tragedy. I'm going into Costco tomorrow to get another one, but they don't have any 27 inch ones, so I'll probably have to get smaller. So sad.

Stupid blogger.com is having some serious problems today. Took me like an hour just to change the URL and add two icons. Speaking of, I changed the URL (as I'm sure you've realized). I wanted to change it to something more basic so I could redesign the site or do whatever and it would still be good. I like it. "Musume" means "girl" or "daughter", btw. By now you should know what sakura means...

Also, I added two new fanlisting icons. They are for Chieco Kawabe's songs "Kizunairo" and "Quiet Riot". I'm really surprised that there are so many Chieco fanlistings... It's nice. hehe Before I was afraid I'd be the only Chieco fan.. hehe.

EDIT: GRRR Blogger.com is really pissing me off. It's screwing with the alignment and the darn toolbar thingy at the top... Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Yippee!! My Chieco Kawabe CDs FINALLY got here!!!! I'm now the proud owner of Chieco's Brilliance CD/DVD and her singles Shining/Crybaby and Kizunairo! They are my first Jpop purchases. I'm so proud.

You might have also noticed that I changed the blog title....again. Yeah, I'm fickle. Actually, I've always wanted to call this blog Sakura Mankai, but the URL was taken. But I just figured, who cares. I'll keep the URL and change the title. FYI, Sakura Mankai means "Cherry Blossoms in full bloom". Pretty, huh? I've always thought so. It's also a beautiful Morning Musume song. I highly recommend it, even if you don't like Morning Musume.

Woohoo for birthdays! I love birthday's. You get presents on your birthday. I love presents. It's my 21st birthday. My older sisters are gonna take me out to get me drunk... Nice... Actually, I don't plan on drinking anything. I plan on watching my sisters get smashed though. Cause that'll be fun. Yeah.

For my big birthday present I'm getting an iPod. But I'm not getting it until Monday. Sad. But nice that I'm getting one. Woohoo for me!

Things I want to do before I die

I've noticed that a lot of blogs have a "Things I want to do before I die" list. I like this idea. I've decided to start one. I'm also gonna make a "100 things about me" list. But that's later.
These things aren't in any particular order. I'll just add (and probably remove) things as I think of them. Here's what I have so far:
-live in an apartment
-get a drivers license
-stay at The Plaza in New York City
-live in NYC
-be able to speak Japanese fluently
-visit Japan
-sing in a real Japanese karaoke
-take voice lessons to improve my singing voice
-be more secure with my singing voice

I'm really bored. I'm in class. Boring..... Its an Intro to Computers class. Yes, the girl who has practically lived on the computer for the past 7 years to taking a INTRO TO COMPUTERS CLASS. Lame. Why am I taking this class? Two reasons: #1: Because I needed the stupid one credit for finanical aid. #2: My mom and sister are taking the class, so I'm suppose to help them out. At the moment, I'm IMing my best friend. She's in Austria studying something I'm sure I know nothing about. She's kinda a German freak, which I can respect (to a degree) since I am a Japanese freak. HOWEVER, I just told her I was gonna write terrible things about her in my blog since I stay up until 5am to talk with her and she says she has to do some stupid German homework. Whatever. hehe I just attempted to do a little redesigning of my blog. Its not going well...again.. When will I learn? For some reason, all the posts are being displayed on the main page.. This blog tags are confusing.. Ah well.. I'll figure it out. Also, when you click a "Previous Post" on left side panel, the post appears really low on the page... ::sigh::

Edit: I'm a moron. The main page problem has been fixed. I still haven't figured out the other problem though... But Its not a big deal. I'll do that later. :-)

Woohoo for money

I love money. Love it. Can't get enough of it. I love it so much, I horde it and protect it from the prying eyes of others. I love money. So, you can only imagine how elated I was when I received TWO, yes TWO checks in the mail yesterday. I could barely contain myself. God, I love money. One of the checks was a financial aide loan. Yes, I know I have to pay it back eventually, however, eventually isn't now. Now I can enjoy it. The best part about that check was that I wasn't expecting it. You see, finanical aid had already sent me a big fat check just a week before. I love getting unexpected money. Its really the best kind of money to get. The second check was expected, but still a delight. It was from that job I talked about in my last post. I'm sure you read about that, right? Right. I love money.

Ok. So, I come here sometimes just to admire my pretty blog. And then I realized, I'm actually suppose to write stuff on here... So, I figured I'd give a little update. What's new? Well.... Ummm... Oh. Ok. I just started school this term. I'm only going half time (6 credits) and two of my classes are total bs filler classes. The other class is Interpersonal Communication. I'm not really sure about it yet. Sounds a little too hippie for my taste. Like people just sit around and talk about themselves and hug or something. But we'll see.

One of my filler classes is choir, which I really enjoy. My school just got a new choir teacher. She's funny. She's this skiny very pale lady from like....I dont know... Idaho or something. And she's all about African music. The choirs whole performance is gonna be nothing but African chants and whatnot. She's definitely different from our last choir teacher.

What else is new... Oh. I just got a job. Its in web design. If you know me at all, you know I'm a big Scarlett Pomers fan (she's an actor/musician). Well, in September me and my best friend went to one of Scarlett's concerts in CA. Scarlett did a duet with a her friend, singer named Monet. After the concert, I found Monet's official website and joined her fan club. Through that, I started chatting with Monet's mom. After a while, and after seeing my Scarlett fansite, Monet's mom asked me if I would like to do Monet's site. This is really my first professional web design job, so I'm pretty excited about it.

Well... Umm.. Its been pretty windy here lately. The power keeps going off. Its really frustrating. I've been hoping for snow, only because I want to get out of school. :-) Snow days are always nice to have.

Ok. Well. I've babbled enough. I'll post more frequently from now on. :-) I'll try anyway.

Well. After 2 hours, I think the site looks reasonably decent. And I changed the name from "To whom it concerns..." to simply "Sakura Doro". Sakura Doro means "Cherry Blossom Road", btw. In case you were wondering.... At least, I think that's what it means. My Japanese ain't so good. :-)
